Tested on our E60 LCI stock wheels (245/40R18) throughout more than 30.000 kms along other UHP tires, the Michelin Pilot 4 ranked at the top in terms of grip and comfort.
They can be criticized for two things: high noise and fast wear. After 20.000 Kms, they get badly cupped and start thumping
The Michelin Pilot Sport 5 have very slightly less grip in straight lines but are much more comfortable and better at handling overall.
Besides, they can last up to 40.000Kms without the above issues.
For daily driving, we could not find any other tires that ensure the best compromise between comfort and sportiness, better that the PS5.
